STUDER 903 & 904

Configuration of the large console completely recapped from 2500 Nichicon condensers in 2019: 24 simultaneous analog inputs. Each channel rack has a microphone input, a line input, frequency adjustable high and low pass filters and a parametric 4-band EQ. Great dynamics of the preamp, divine musicality of the EQ section, add 7 hardware compressors integrated into the console, you have everything you need at hand to work!.

Believe it or not, Studer was the largest console manufacturer in the world in the 1980s, although most of their desks went into the broadcast market. Despite having no in-line monitors, they are easily recycled for modern recording. Good quality components were used and most are still available. The EQ and facilities are flexible, comprehensive and musical. These desks have a reputation of affordable classics as the best known vintage desk rocket in value.

Amplification: Crown

Power amp CROWN PS400 (2x180W RMS), Signal / Noise Ratio greater than 110 db! Often used in mastering studios for its performance and lack of breath. It's one of the few power amps that doesn't have a fan... which is very pleasant in the control room.

Equalization: UREI

Monitoring: JBL Studio Monitors 4435

There are different types for different uses. Some speakers are suitable for sound recording, others for mixing or mastering... Neutrals, colors, there is something for everyone. In a serious studio, it is a question of using the materials which have really proven themselves throughout the world to the detriment of the latest trick in fashion of the moment which has just been released. We trust JBL, GENELEC, PSI audio, Auratone, STUDER, Sonodyne, NEUMANN...

  • A world reference. This enormous model (113 Kg for each of the speakers...!) presents an extension of the bass and extreme bass in terms of output capacity and bandwidth. This is a false 2-way, the 38 cm located below the bell rises and cuts at 1kz but the second 38 cm only rises up to 100hz to support the first (which is also equipped with a membrane a little lighter), and double the performance. We thus go from 93db to 96db of output/1W/1m... On these original models the compression is in alnico.

Neumann KH-310 (3-way)

new.jpg

A world reference. This pair is more particularly intended for mixing. It is a question here of ensuring the most precise sound reproduction possible... it was therefore necessary to equip oneself with a recent model up to date which does not make any concessions to the sound, nor suffers from any discussion. . Perfection is not of this world?, we take care of it!

Genelec S30 (Three-way)

new.jpg

A world reference. Reference speakers for sound recording, they are not tiring thanks to their ribbon tweeters. This is happiness!.

± 2 dB from 43 Hz to 20 kHz 105 dB SPL per pair in a normally damped 40 cu.m control room.

Three integrated power amplifiers Active filters and symmetric input Reliable.

SONODYNE SRP400

new.jpg
  • This new pair of modern monitors replaces the old Auratones...which I keep preciously under the elbow...

  • A great reference for understanding how mixes translate to small speakers;

  • Silk dome tweeter nestled in a custom waveguide to produce on- and off-axis linearity and a wide, detailed soundstage;

  • 4.5" CURV cone woofer produces impressive bass and transient response;

  • 25+25 watt bi-amplification that optimally drives the transducers while providing ample headroom and dynamics;

  • Maximum SPL: 100 dB. Room compensated HF and LF tilts are available at the rear

  • Level control ranging from mute to +6dB with center detent at 0dB.

Genelec1031APM

A world reference. The 1031A is a shielded bi-amplified loudspeaker equipped with an 21 cm and a tweeter mounted in a DCW waveguide. Characteristics: Bandwidth (-2 dB): 47 Hz - 20 kHz Effective acoustic pressure at 1 m: 110 dB SPL - Reference speakers for sound recording...

Auratones

  • A world reference. The music industry standard, these speakers have been in studios around the world for over 50 years...

STUDER / PSI Audio A523

  • The A523 is a bi-amplified active loudspeaker of great uprightness!. Effective sound pressure at 1 m: 103 dB SPL

JBL - LSR 308

  • Ideal for electro workstation and rap, they take modern bass with ease.

Drawmer MC 2.1 - Monitor Controller

  • To effectively control the mixing operation. Versatile and intuitive, the MC2.1 excels in its precision and its ability to faithfully reproduce what has been recorded. It is imperative that what you record is exactly what you hear - this is the philosophy that is at the heart of the design of the MC2.1 Monitor Controller. You combine the clarity, fidelity and transparency of the highest quality monitoring circuit with the complexity of a host of mix checking features.

Compressor / Limiter 1176

new.jpg
  • The Klark Teknik 1176-KT is a professional compressor with a wide choice of compression ratios and fast, adjustable attack and release times. Inspired by the classic UREI model 1176LN which is the subject of a reverence that borders on idiophilia among connoisseurs. At last, this gear does the job.

Lexicon PCM 80 DIGITAL

  • The effects are of absolutely sublime efficiency and depth! I haven't heard that with any plugin yet. The reverberations, although few in number, are magnificent, dense and enveloping. The other effects are just as beautiful! The hardware solution does not belong to the past...
